Nutritional advice puts you in control

Optimal nutrition is fundamental to keeping the body healthy, resilient, and performing at its best. A balanced diet provides essential support for healing, helps slow the progression of disease, and can even reduce the risk of developing certain conditions. Nutrition is a powerful tool, one that should be both effective and enjoyable, not restrictive. You will never be asked to eliminate all the foods you enjoy or eat foods you dislike; true wellbeing comes from balance, not deprivation.

Every individual is unique, and nutrition should reflect that. A personalised, in-depth assessment will uncover the root causes of your symptoms, often revealing important connections that may previously have gone unnoticed.

We will work together to develop a bespoke treatment plan that takes into account your likes/dislikes, your busy schedule, your lifestyle, your medical history and your preferences.  You will be supported and guided through your treatment at a steady pace that is right for you, so that the process feels easy to achieve and you never feel overwhelmed.

Your treatment will focus on three essential pillars: nutrition, psychological support, and physical activity. The emphasis on each will be tailored to your individual needs, ensuring a balanced approach that supports both body and mind. Nutrition and mental wellbeing are closely interconnected, what you eat can influence your mood and stress levels, just as your emotions can shape your eating habits. By addressing both, we create a sustainable foundation for lasting change and overall wellbeing.

Whether your goal is to support your metabolism, manage your weight, reduce bloating, increase energy, or simply regain enjoyment in food, this approach is designed to put you back in control. With practical, personalised guidance, you will learn how to make confident, informed choices that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. A healthy diet should feel natural and achievable, not restrictive, empowering you to develop a positive relationship with food and maintain balance in everyday eating situations.

What happens during an assessment?

The level of support you require will determine the depth of your nutritional assessment, as some conditions and goals benefit from a more detailed and comprehensive approach.

Where appropriate, you may be asked to complete two questionnaires in advance, which will be sent to you by email:

  • A Food Frequency Questionnaire

  • A 7-day food diary (with a minimum of 3 days completed)

During your consultation, we will explore a range of topics to build a clear and detailed understanding of your current nutrition and lifestyle. If relevant, measurements such as weight, height, and certain body measurements may also be taken.

Using this information, alongside your completed questionnaires, a fully personalised treatment plan will be developed, tailored to your individual goals and needs. You will be guided through the initial steps and provided with practical resources and supporting materials. Where helpful, we will also work together to create personalised meal plans.

Sustainable change takes time; new habits can take up to three months to become established, and lasting results are best achieved through gradual adjustments. For this reason, your plan will be introduced at a steady, manageable pace, with ongoing support tailored to the level you need, for as long as you need it.
