COVID-19

Covid-19 Useful Information

We are committed to maintaining safe, infection-free health care environments.  We have taken advice from the government announcements and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.

Anyone attending clinic will still be required to wear a face covering for the foreseeable future.

Please do not attend a face-to-face appointment for a minimum of 7 days if you or anyone you live with have tested positive for Covid-19. Owing to the wide range of possible Covid-19 symptoms, if you feel unwell, even if you don’t think it is Covid-19 related, we would be grateful if you could take a lateral flow test prior to attending your appointment.

If you develop general cold/bug/flu symptoms unrelated to Covid-19, please do not attend clinic within the first 3-5 days of symptoms depending on severity, longer if you are feeling very unwell/have active coughing/sneezing symptoms. Sickness bugs require a 48-hour clear window before attending an appointment.

Further details on Covid-19 symptoms and government advice can be found at the following two links:

All staff are fully vaccinated.

Every effort will be made to minimise the risk of catching Covid-19 whilst attending a clinic appointment, however we cannot guarantee that this will not occur.

If you do not wish to attend a clinic appointment but still require physiotherapy input, we are offering a range of Virtual Video Physiotherapy and Pilates Video Consultations over Skype.  These can be booked online.  Alternatively you can call 07702 847036 or email enquiries@nebula-physio.co.uk to discuss which type of appointment would be most suitable for you.

What we are doing?

  • All of our clinicians are trained health care professionals and already adhere to strict infection control standards.  We have reviewed and updated our policies to reflect the current Covid-19 situation.
  • All equipment, including treatment couches, card payment machines and Pilates equipment, is disinfected after every client.
  • Hand washing facilities, including antibacterial hand gel and a sink with antibacterial soap, are available in the clinic room and are used between every client.  Clients will be asked to use the antibacterial hand gel on entering the clinic room.
  • Staff will wear a medical grade disposable face mask at all times.
  • Staff are kept up to date with all government guidelines and best practices as they are released.

How you can help?

  • Please follow the government’s advice on regular hand washing.  We would also be grateful if you could use our antibacterial hand gel on entering our clinic.
  • Please inform us if you or anyone you live with are showing Covid-19 symptoms such as a high temperature, a loss of or change in your normal sense of taste or smell, or a new continuous cough so that we can make alternative arrangements.  Please do not attend a face-to-face clinic appointment if you are experiencing these symptoms.
  • If you suspect you have symptoms of Covid-19 we would require a negative lateral flow test before attending a clinic appointment.
  • Please do not attend a clinic appointment if someone else in your household is isolating due to a positive Covid-19 test result.
  • Owing to the wide range of possible Covid-19 symptoms, if you feel unwell, even if you don’t think it is Covid-19 related, we would be grateful if you could take a lateral flow test prior to attending the clinic.
  • Please wear a face covering when attending a clinic appointment.  Please remember to wash your hands before putting on and taking off your face covering and to wash your face covering regularly.

Virtual Consultations, Rehabilitation and Pilates

If a face-to-face clinic appointment is not essential, if you are working from home and are unable to make it into clinic, or if you wish to remain self-isolated, we are offering remote consultations for both Physiotherapy and Pilates.

These virtual video consultations are conducted over Skype.  We can assess, diagnose and adapt treatment plans for most problems via video.  We can also prescribe, update and progress your exercises remotely and hold 1:1 or group Pilates sessions.  Our staff have extensive experience conducting remote consultations.  For more information please email enquiries@nebula-phsyio.co.uk or call 07702 847036.

If you have any questions on the above, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by phone or email.
