VIRTUAL SESSIONS

Virtual Sessions

Acupuncture / Dry Needling

Why book a virtual appointment?

Virtual appointments are ideal if you are unable to make it into clinic. Whether you have a longstanding pain condition, are recovering from a new injury, or are working to maintain or improve physical strength, virtual physiotherapy can help. We also offer virtual Pilates classes, virtual pain management coaching, and virtual health and wellbeing coaching (all led by our physiotherapists).

How does virtual physiotherapy work?

Your consultation will take place via a secure video call through Cliniko.  You will be asked the same questions and undergo the same assessments that you would expect from a face-to-face assessment.

Within virtual physiotherapy appointments, our experienced physiotherapists can still provide you with accurate diagnosis, treatment and management. Although we are unable to palpate and provide ‘hands-on’ manual therapy during a virtual consultation, we can utilise a range of self-mobilisation techniques and are able to offer a wide range of treatment strategies to ensure you recover as quickly as possible.

You can book a virtual physiotherapy consultation online or contact us on enquiries@nebula-physio.co.uk or 07702 847036.

How do I prepare for a video call?

Before your first appointment, you will be emailed a link which allows you to join the video session. At the time of your appointment, click this link and your physiotherapist will admit you to the video call.  Please ensure audio and video functions are enabled to allow the physiotherapist to both see and hear you. If you are attending a physiotherapy session, please make sure that your webcam is set up in a way that allows your physiotherapist to assess and treat you effectively.

Why is it a video call and not a telephone call?

More can be achieved from a video consultation (particularly for physiotherapy) than from a telephone consultation.  Video allows us to assess your range of movement, functional ability and carry out some modified testing.  This leads to a more accurate diagnosis.  We can also observe you doing any prescribed exercises to ensure your technique is correct.
